I like to believe that “strong” people are warriors. Nobody knows how many times they’ve had to fight a war against themselves.
There must’ve been times when they felt suffocated, chaotic and exhausted but they didn’t get to fall apart because they’re “strong”.
They can ‘feel’ themselves breaking apart but there’s nothing they can do about this feeling because they’re “strong”.
They can’t show that they’re weak and numb even when they’re broken. It’s a helpless situation when a person gets frustrated with their emotions but can’t show them because they’re “strong”.
These people always have to hold their head high up and try their hardest not to get vulnerable or cry in front of anyone even if it’s hurting really deeply because they’re “strong”.
Nothing is scarier for them than to realize that they’re sinking in but can’t ask for help or be vocal because they’re the “strong” ones and anchors to others.
Sometimes, just sometimes they get thoughts about giving up because there’s nothing left inside them except pain but they’ve to snap out of this and shake off these thoughts because they’re “strong”
